Sophia is the cover girl for Zooey Magazine for June/July, where she is interviewed by Sean McMahill and speaks about being viewed as a activist, the gulf spill and much more.
“I think I’ve always had a very clear idea of what’s right and wrong,” Sophia explains, “And a very clear sense that we should always try to do the right thing, even when it’s not the easy thing. It’s something that I think baffled my parents at moments, but they’ve been really sup-portive, too. They’ve given me an excep¬tional education, from the time that I was a little girl.”
Make sure to pick up your copy today to read the full article on Sophia. Sophia is photographed by Dove Shore, styled by Lyndzi Trang, her hair is done by Michael Kanyon and makeup is done by Patrick Tumey. Sophia looks amazing on the cover and I can’t wait to see the inside of it!
Just a quick note to let you know that I’ve added a bunch of new stuff to the gallery over the past month or so. I’m sure you’ve already seen the new additions, but I thought I’d do a little post about everything, just in case you haven’t.

Add Sophia Bush to the growing list of grousing stars upset over the passage of California’s gay-marriage-annihilating Prop 8.
“I’m really proud to be an American,” the One Tree Hill star said of the election of Barack Obama, “and I’m embarrassed to be a Californian right now.”
Speaking to E! News at Thursday’s DSquared2 party in the penthouse of Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont, Bush said she was psyched to see Obama win, especially since she campaigned for him. She also hopes to attend his Jan. 20 inauguration.
But her excitement was tempered by the narrow passage of Prop 8. “It’s just so sad that when we’ve been so progressive, we’ve also taken so many steps backward,” she said, choking up. “I’m disgusted.
“In a world that is so full of hatred and bigotry and war and famine? We’re criticizing two people for loving each other. I think that it’s devastating.”

One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush is only 26, but for her, good health is a lifelong mission. “I’ve started to treat my health like a science project,” says Bush, who can rattle off lists of bone-density-building exercises and antioxidant-rich foods with aplomb. Bright and refreshingly levelheaded, the Pasadena, Calif., native is the only child of father Charles, a photographer, and mom Maureen, who runs a photo studio. And Bush has done her parents proud: You won’t find her spilling half-naked out of a limo. (In fact, the only time she made tabloid news was when she and her Hill co-star Chad Michael Murray divorced in 2005 after five months of marriage.)
Bush spends most of the year commuting from her Los Angeles home to the Wilmington, N.C., set of One Tree Hill, which has just started its sixth season. (She’s also in two upcoming films: The Narrows and Table For Three.) In her limited spare time, Bush is a passionate advocate for health-care reform, a role she took on after witnessing loved ones who have fallen ill. Here, she holds forth on that cause and much more.
